Healing in the Name of Jesus

Christian women having faith in God

God is still the God that heals us. I’m so grateful for God’s Word, aren’t you? Now, more than ever, we must be fully convinced healing in the name of Jesus is ours for the asking. It is our bread as children of God.

Healing in the name of Jesus means you trust God for your healing based on the authority of Jesus’ death and all the benefits that come with that sacrifice. Jesus died so you can be whole. The name of Jesus gives you access to all the promises of healing.

Faith is always critical, Christian Woman. However, with what we face, it’s especially crucial. We all are being stretched, tested, and tried and we must believe God is still in control and interested. We must hold fast to our faith! Hold on to it tightly!

God moves as His people pray! SO PRAY! Click To Tweet

No doubt, these times are some unprecedented scary “straight out of Hollywood” stuff.

Would you have ever imagined you’d deal with what currently faces us as a nation…as a world? It’s unfathomable; but, not impossible. Nor is it hopeless!

Let me go ahead and share what God has me positioned to do in these times case it encourages you too.

Praying prayers that are founded on healing in the name of Jesus

1. Read your Bible NOW!

WOAH!!!
Don’t skimp on the Bible
time – something is up” with Bible study nowadays!

God is making His Word so fresh and illuminating during this season. It’s almost as though an actual light is shining beneath the words on the page. I’m not the only one experiencing this. God is doing something.

Really, now more than ever, you MUST make time for God’s Word!

I’m telling you, in Bible study time, the Holy Spirit is doing something new; something different and you don’t want to miss it!

Could it be because we are quieter and the Holy Spirit can work and speak more clearly as we read the Bible?

Maybe it’s because we feel so vulnerable in this season. It’s humbled us and given us an ear to hear. What do you think? Tell me below!

Either way, I don’t know. Whatever it is, it’s happening to more people than just me.

Even if you had trouble reading your Bible in months previous, jump in now while the waters are troubled, Sis!

A rich opportunity lies within ceasing this moment, Beautiful Christian woman.

Go ahead. Lean into the word of God like you’re diving from a beautiful, tall cliff into the cool, clear refreshing waters waiting beneath.

The Bible shows how
He heals and Why He does it!

Beautiful women of God pray and pray without ceasing. They leverage healing in the name of Jesus each time they pray.

God is your healing power; He’s THE Healer!

God never falls short of His promises to stay with us, commune with us and heal us. There is healing in the name of Jesus, but if you don’t know how to utilize it, you’ll have faulty expectations and unfulfilled prayers. Bible study remedies this and helps you understand how God moves and what healing in the name of Jesus really means.

I ”heart” the Psalms! Since all this started happening, I’ve been living in the book Psalms.

Psalms is FIRE as the youngsters would say!  Psalms is DOPE! Psalms is BOMB!

Ok. Back to my 50-something self…

You gotta love Psalms because whatever you’re feeling at any moment in time – angry, sad, sick, lonely, rejected, far from God – rest assured a Psalm exists to capture exactly how you feel. If you can’t pray or articulate your thoughts, Psalms is so helpful! But, today, No Psalms for me!

healing in the name of Jesus is your birthright and inheritance as a Christian woman.
The Holy Spirit will lead you to pray and to understand the Bible.

It was all about Matthew and it reminded me of the power and healing in the name of Jesus.

Holy Spirit led me to pick up where I left off studying Matthew. It was about the 8th chapter.

I saw the trend as I continued studying (looking through my favorite commentaries). Girl, what a timely trend it was!

God is so real and present!!!!!!

Matthew’s chapters 8 and 9 turned out to be all about healing and restoration!!!!!

HEALING! Healing in the name of Jesus

H-E-A-L-I-N-G!!!!

Yes, Girl, healing in the name of Jesus

Can you think of a better time for the Holy Spirit to lead me to read about healing in succession?

O.M.G. Just when I thought Jesus was gonna be telling off some Pharisee, I see chapters on healing! At a time when our land needs healing, the Holy Spirit leads me here!

Like you, I’m praying for so many people to be healed from this awful sickness. Keep on praying!

2. Pray for healing in the
name of Jesus with CONFIDENCE!

Don’t pray like a chump!

Aggressive is how you’d describe my prayers these days!

I’m standing on God’s Word to claim healing!

I praying weapons formed will cease!

I am pleading the blood of Jesus and I’m praying in the Spirit with fervor, power, confidence and might!

In my prayers, I’m saying “NOT SO!”

Sure, the experts in the land are making all these predictions that more and more will die before this thing is over.

NOT SO! IN THE NAME OF JESUS!

Hey, I knew a situation with Moses where the “experts” of the land tried to deal with plagues, but couldn’t didn’t and stood completely helpless in the sight of God. They couldn’t do a thing against Him! This is no different. Don’t rely on what those people say and deem it some sort of law!

No! As you pray for people, say “in the name of Jesus, NOT SO!

Declare they shall live and not die! They shall declare God’s might and glory! Pray that and declare it in Jesus’ name!

You can pray for healing in the name of Jesus. All Christians can!

Doctors are AMAZING!

God bless the doctors and medical professionals. I appreciate them so much! They are doing the bravest, most courageous work right now. Keep them in your prayers.

While I trust doctors and physicians, Jesus has the final say!

Girl! With one word, He can cause this entire thing to cease; to stop, right now and IMMEDIATELY!

Experts and professionals must study data, meet with one another to compare notes, wonder, prod and question in order to discover an “end” to this thing. But, NOT Jesus!

In a nanosecond, He can fix it!

Just like when He sent the “word” and healed the Centurions servant, He can send the word to heal thousands upon thousands and call this thing OVER!

It would be nothing for Him to halt this thing just as He stilled the waters in the mad, rushing sea by saying a few words: “Peace. Be Still!”

Think of your loved one. Get them in your mind’s eye.

Jesus can “touch” him or her just as He touched Peter’s mother-in-law’s hand and healed her. In a SNAP! your loved one’s illness can be healed and they can rise up!

Don’t sell Jesus short!

Not only does Jesus have authoritative physical healing power, but He also has spiritual power to forgive their sins and make them whole 100% – in both the body and the soul!!!!

There is beauty in praying to Jesus. For Christian women is a very natural thing.

3. Jesus answers prayers

Christian Lady, Jesus is astounding
in what He can do!

I’m no theologian, but I know Jesus forgave the paralytic’s sins without even being asked to do so.

The same God yesterday, today and forever can redeem and save a person without them even know that’s what He’s doing!

The Bible doesn’t say the paralytic asked for his sins to be forgiven. Jesus was moved by their faith (verse 2) and did it anyway. Sure, He had a reason and a purpose, but the point is: HE CAN DO IT! If your loved one is not saved, have faith and keep “bringing” them to Jesus in the spirit. How? By praying for them!

I’ve seen in my own family what God can do! Ironically, He did it through a different type of sickness, but someone in my family was saved years ago as a result of a horrible illness. God has no limits and no bounds, Girl!!!!

Healing in Jesus name is part of your birthright; it's part of your heritage as a Christian woman. Click To Tweet

4. What you must do for
healing in the name of Jesus

Again, BRING them to Jesus

“And they brought to Him a paralytic…” Matthew 9:2

As I stated, you be a “they” and spiritually “bring” them to Jesus in faith. Again, our prayer and intercession is how we unlock the lock.

God moves as His people pray. So, PRAY! (Be sure to tweet that above!)

Read your Bible too! You won’t be strong without it!

This is as much a supernatural battle as it is a physical one. Use your weapons!

Don’t pout, Christian sister. Times are hard, I get it.

Don’t whine, woman of God. You’re going to make it.

You don’t have time for a nervous breakdown like the weak people. Leverage your strength in Jesus Christ! You have it for such a time as this!

PRAY FOR HEALING
IN THE MIGHTY NAME
OF JESUS AND
WATCH HIM MOVE!

Praying healing in the name of Jesus now and always is your birthright. It's your inheritance. It's part of your benefit package as a Christian woman.

Bible Scriptures

Here are the scriptures that blessed me today from Matthew 8. I copied from BibleGateway.com. It’s also where I read commentaries.

I also like LOGOS (for ipad).

Matthew 8 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy

When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy[a] came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

The Faith of the Centurion

When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.”

Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?”

The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. 11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.

Jesus Heals Many

14 When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. 15 He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him.

16 When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. 17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:

“He took up our infirmities
    and bore our diseases.”[b]

The Cost of Following Jesus

18 When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he gave orders to cross to the other side of the lake. 19 Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

20 Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

21 Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”

22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

Jesus Calms the Storm

23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

The whole thing about Moses…

From Exodus Chapter 7.

Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did what God commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his servants, and it turned into a snake.

11-12 Pharaoh called in his wise men and sorcerers. The magicians of Egypt did the same thing by their incantations: each man threw down his staff and they all turned into snakes. But then Aaron’s staff swallowed their staffs.
