Women’s Bible Study Online Free for Groups

You’ve discovered an amazing women’s Bible study online, absolutely free! I can hardly contain my excitement as I leverage my experience as an adult educator to share this remarkable resource with you. It’s a golden opportunity for women to passionately explore what it truly means to embody character and embrace a life of virtue! This women’s bible study online free is easy to use and a good use of the participants’ time!

I will use the phrase “women’s bible study online free” because that is likely how you found me. It has to do with an algorithm and nothing to do with grammar. Thanks for your patience.

It aims to establish a connection among women and facilitate sharing their faith experiences through deep introspection and structured small-group activities.

The subject addresses the importance of embodying the qualities of a virtuous and Godly woman grounded in integrity.

Being a Godly woman means living and walking like Jesus, applying His teachings to everyday life.

To truly grasp this concept, you must challenge the women to think deeply and wrestle with the concept.;

A mere surface-level contemplation won’t cut it.

This women’s bible study online (free) will help because it leverages adult learning theory with God-inspired biblical principles.

You can do this women’s bible study online free!

It may feel daunting to lead a women’s Bible study, especially if you are unsure where to start or how to engage your group effectively.

However, with the guidance and resources I provided in the facilitation guide, I guarantee you can do it!

Inside my women’s bible study online free is everything from a sample prayer to scripts to inspire you on what to say and how to say it.

Your only job is to trust God to lead you as you lead the women’s bible study online free.

The Holy Spirit will illuminate your path and inspire those participating.

26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. Source: Romans 8:26-27 New International Version

As you and the women delve into the scriptures together [in a women’s Bible study group], remember to seek the Lord’s wisdom in all your discussions.

Here is how you can do that:

Every Christian teacher, preacher, or facilitator has silently prayed during a Christian learning event. So there is nothing wrong with saying in your heart, “Holy Spirit, please help me!”

Don’t assume too much responsibility in this process. The success of your women’s Bible study experience does not rest solely on your shoulders!

This women’s bible study online free is God’s project. He will manage it. You are just a beautiful tool to foster understanding and connection among the group.

Does that take the pressure off a little bit? I hope so.

Listen, I want you to embrace this opportunity to touch the hearts and minds of the women by sharing insights and encouraging honest dialogue.

God will handle the rest!

If you like to hear yourself talk…this is not for you.

Listening to a person drone on and on is one of my pet peeves.

Adult learning is a science. There is a way to do it right, and there is a way to do it wrong.

This is why following a scripture or a solid facilitation guide is important.

I’ll be honest here.

Very often, in churches, we consider how adults learn. We ask mindless questions at the wrong times, which can frustrate the learners.

We cannot use the same format for training children as we do for training or teaching adults. If you ever want to peek into my world, Google the terms andragogy and pedagogy.

The worst part is we then blame the victims by saying, “People don’t come to Bible study or Sunday School.”

Could it be that the reason they do not come to our learning events is that something is wrong with our instructional model?

Expecting people to attend an event that wastes their time is like throwing a swim party for people who do not swim; they’ll just sit on the sidelines, give you the side-eye, and plot their escape!

I understand that my perspective may come across as pessimistic, but I hope you can appreciate where I’m coming from.

I do this for a living, so I am passionate about it. :)

Hey, here is a video that will help you understand my viewpoint a bit. I created this for a class a while ago; maybe it will give you some tips for adult learning experiences.

More about my free women’s bible study

I chose the topic of the virtuous woman because that is something we all want to be.

However, I’ve added a bit of a twist – I did not focus solely on Proverbs 31.

After all, in Proverbs 31, a woman is an ideal. We cannot likely embody her on this side of heaven—she’s too perfect!

However, there are some other attributes of virtual integrity we can work toward. In fact, all Christians should work toward them!

The women’s bible study online free below is representative of the first session of three. I have written it as an introductory session.

This is why it does not cover all the many areas of being a Godly woman.

Let’s get to the elements of the women’s bible study online free

Check out this sample Opening Script for my women’s bible study online free

You could say something like:

We’re all on our own wild journeys of faith, and God is always working on us to help us show His vibe. Just like it says in 2 Corinthians 3:18, ‘And we all, who with unveiled faces are soaking in the Lord’s glory, are getting transformed into His image with more and more glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.’

Tonight/today, we’re going to pause and reflect on our lives—our thoughts, actions, relationships, and spiritual habits—and identify areas where God might be calling us to grow. This isn’t about guilt or comparison; it’s about inviting the Holy Spirit to guide us in becoming more like Christ.

Maybe include a Personal Self-Assessment.

I did not include this self-assessment in the PDF version of my women’s bible study online.

However, I do like the idea of using one.

You could present it at the beginning of your women’s Bible study and ask the women to complete it before the Bible study session.

Then, give them an extra copy to take with them.

If your women’s Bible study group meets regularly, you might consider presenting it about three months later.

In my line of work, this is called a pre-and post-assessment. The goal is that the women’s Bible study online free helped them grow and adopt new habits or behaviors.

Self-Assessment Questions: Identifying Areas to Grow in Godly Character

  1. How is my prayer life?
  • Am I intentional about spending daily time with God in prayer, or is my prayer life sporadic or rushed?
  1. Am I reflecting the fruits of the Spirit in my interactions with others? (Galatians 5:22-23)
  • Do I consistently demonstrate love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control?
  1. Do I prioritize time in God’s Word?
  • How often do I read the Bible to understand God’s will for my life? Do I rely on His Word for guidance, or do I try to navigate life on my own?
  1. How am I handling challenges and conflicts?
  • Do I respond with grace, forgiveness, and humility, or do I let anger, bitterness, or fear take over?
  1. Am I using my gifts to serve others?
  • How am I using the talents, time, and resources God has given me to bless my family, church, and community?
  1. Am I harboring any sin or attitudes that hinder my relationship with God? (Psalm 139:23-24)
  • Are there any habits, thoughts, or behaviors I need to surrender to God?

After the women finish this part of the women’s bible study online free, you could say something like:

“As you think about these questions, remember that God meets us exactly where we’re at.

He knows what’s in our hearts and is super ready to help us grow. Philippians 1:6 says, ‘He who started a good thing in you is gonna see it through until the day of Christ Jesus.’ Just trust that He’s working on you, even in those spots where you feel the most unsure.

Take a few moments now to pray over your answers. If you feel comfortable, we’ll open up the floor to share any insights or thoughts you feel led to discuss. And remember, this is a safe and supportive space where we can encourage one another in love.

I am going to share a copy of this same assessment with you. Retake it in a few months. Watch for growth, and then praise God for it.“

Next, I will share with you the entire women’s bible study online free.

If you would like to download the women’s bible study online free as a PDF, you can do it below or click here.

Additionally, I offer a free online women’s Bible study. I created it in Microsoft Word, and it got a little “hokey” when I converted it to this format.

Women’s Bible Study Session 1:
Becoming a Virtuous Christian Woman
(the actual women’s bible study online free)

 Facilitator Overview

Terri Brooks, M.Ed., from GodsyGirl.com, created this series for Women’s Bible Study groups to help women grow in their faith, cultivate godly character, and embrace their identity as virtuous Christian women.

This session focuses on the key attributes of a virtuous woman, using biblical principles and practical application.

This is not a “talking head” bible study.

Research reveals adults thrive when they have many opportunities to interact with one another and share experiences.

They need to feel part of a learning experience to both learn from it and find it fulfilling.

As you facilitate this session, let participants contribute their experiences and knowledge. This will enrich the experience immensely!

You, as the facilitator, play a crucial role in this Bible study. Your role is not to be the sole source of knowledge but to guide the discussion, encourage participation, and ensure that the session stays on track.

In a Bible study, we work together and learn together. It’s a collaborative process, and your role as a facilitator is crucial to this team effort.

In a Bible study, the women work together and learn together. It is a collaborative process, unlike a Bible class where a teacher is an expert who imparts information.

Remember, this session is designed for you to facilitate. Think of yourself as the guide on the side, not the sage on the stage. You don’t need to know everything about this topic. Instead, prepare to learn from others as you guide the process. This is an exciting opportunity for personal growth and learning!

As you go through the Bible study, you’ll notice areas that indicate what you are to say. Please know that this does not mean you should say it verbatim; it is a facilitation guide, not a strict script. Feel free to adapt and personalize it to suit your group’s needs.

Facilitation scripts are built into this bible study to guide the discussion and ensure that key points are covered. They are not meant to be read verbatim but to provide a structure for the session.

Prepare yourself.

If you can, bring extra pens, pencils, notebooks, or paper for participants who may forget to bring their own

Secondly, read through this entire lesson before the women’s Bible study.

Do the activities yourself so you can experience them. Note what the Holy Spirit reveals during the final activity. If you are led, be prepared to share one or two things.

Ideal Demographics

This Bible study is ideal for a maximum of 10-15 women. Any more women will make the situation chaotic and compromise the interaction.

Materials You Need

Ask the ladies to bring the following materials:

  • A notebook for taking notes
  • A journal for recording thoughts and reactions or what the Holy Spirit is saying
  • A writing instrument
  • A Bible
  • An open mind
  • A playlist of quiet, slow worship music ideal for introspection.

Session 1:
Understanding Virtue in a Christian Context

Facilitation Guide
Say:
“We’re going to start with a quick and fun icebreaker called Two Truths and Something Funny.”

Here’s how it works:

Each person will share two facts about themselves (these can be fun, surprising, or just everyday things).

Then, you’ll share one fun or funny thing about yourself (this can be something that happened in your lifetime, a hobby, a funny story – whatever they want.”Say:
“For example, I’ll go first. Say something like: I love eating peanut butter from the jar. I have more shoes than anyone else I know! I once played a practical joke on my sister where it_________.”Say:
“Now it’s your turn! Let’s go around the room. Feel free to keep it light and fun, and don’t worry—it’s okay to take a moment to think!”
Gently call the pairs back to order.

You can say something like:
“I’ll give you a few seconds to finish what you are saying.” [Pause] “Now, may I have your attention?”

Ask:
“How did it go? Was that fun?”

Say
“Let’s learn from one another.”

Facilitation Note:

There are two parts to this debrief/unpacking session.

Debrief Part 1:
Have each pair report their discussion points.
If you are able, write them on a whiteboard or display them in some other way.
Ask each group to read the values they brainstormed for the world ONLY.

Then say:
“Wow! What do you think?” Is the world different from us? What do you think motivates the world?”  Allow responses and conversation.

Debrief Part 2:
Ask each pair to report their replies to God’s expectations or values for us. Record them if you are able.

Facilitation Tip:
Ask the women to make note of those that stand out or resonate with them.

Ask:
Why do you think God considers our values important?

Sample answers to “prime the pump”:  Promotes unity in the Body of Christ.
(1 Corinthians 1:10 – See Scripture below)

People can see our good works and glorify the Lord. (Matthew 5:15-16– See Scripture below)

We are modeling Christ in service.

Facilitator Commentary: Warning

Say something like:  Point 1:
“God calls us all to be virtuous and do what is right.
Our virtue is rooted in His Kingdom and what He considers noble and Godly behavior.”Ask someone to turn to and read the following verse:

2 Corinthians 8:21: “For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.”

Facilitator Comment:
“We, as Christians, must be incredibly careful not to allow the world’s ways or values to seep into our lives.”Ask:
“What is the takeaway here?
[Allow one person to reply]

Takeaway/Point:
A virtuous woman wants to do the right thing.

Point 2:

The Word of God tells us to stay separate from the world.
Ask someone to read for you or you read:

2 Corinthians 6:17
“Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you”

Say something similar to:

“The world “sneaks” into our lives by friendships with unsaved people, what we watch for entertainment, and when we neglect our Christian disciplines like weekly church attendance, daily prayer and personal Bible study time.”

Ask the women:
“Turn to Song of Solomon 2:15: The Verse: “Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom

Say:

“Little foxes’ refers to the small sins, attitudes, and habits that we often overlook or justify.  Although we may think they are unimportant, they can greatly affect our lives.”

Rhetorical Question:
“Have you ever had little behaviors or what seemed like “small sins” trip you up? I know I have!

We must be careful of those seemingly “innocent” things – like the Real Housewives of whatever!”
Begin The Ground Rules Process

Say something like:
“We are going to establish a few ground rules for our Bible study group.”

“Ground rules will promote respect and openness, minimizing distractions and keeping discussions focused.”  Facilitator Note:

Ask the women to come up with 4 ground rules.

Have someone to record them, or you can write them on a whiteboard, if available.

As the leader, you share the first one.  Examples to “prime the pump”: You can say, “How about no cell phones?” or “No speaking while the other person is speaking?”
Introduce The Topic

Rhetorically asking the group: “What does it mean to be virtuous?”  “We will explore the biblical definition of virtue and how it applies to modern Christian living.”
Open Bibles  Ask everyone to turn to Proverbs 31:10-11:

“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.”

Sample Script:
“
This scripture speaks of a wife. Does God expect only wives to be virtuous?  Why or why not?”  [Pause – silently count to 10 until someone speaks. They will.]

Sample Script:
“Why do you think the scripture denotes a [wife] of noble character is valuable?” [Pause – silently count to 10 until someone speaks. They will.]

Say:
“Excellent points. You are thinking about this topic! This is going to be a great bible study! Let’s keep going!”
Introduce the Discussion Say:
“Everybody, please, turn to John 17:14-16” The Scripture:
John 17:14-16(New International Version)14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Facilitation Guide:
Ask for a volunteer to read the scripture. Then pause.

Ask:
“What comes to mind as you read this scripture?” [Pause – silently count to 10 until someone speaks. Validate each response.]

Ask:
(if no one mentioned this point):
“What do you think the Lord meant when he said we are not “of this world?” [Pause – silently count to 10 until someone speaks. Validate each response.]

Sample Script
“As you know, we are not to be like the world. By the world, I mean non-Christians.”

Ask:
“Would you say the world is “virtuous” or noble? Why or why not?” [Pause – silently count to 10 until someone speaks. Validate each response.]
Activity #1:

The cultural vs. Biblical perspective on virtue.

Say:
We are going to do an.  Grab your pen. After I introduce the activity, you will have the choice to do it alone or with a partner.  List five values the unchristian people may esteem or consider necessary to survive in this world.

List five values God calls Christians to do, obey, or live by according to scripture.

Do you want to do this activity alone or with a partner?  *Allow the group to vote*
Unpack the Activity
Introduce Next the Activity

Identifying areas in our lives where we can grow in godly character. Say something like:
“Next, we are going to dig internally. We will allow the Holy Spirit to show us all areas we can improve to be m virtuous women Each of us is on a unique journey of faith, and God is continually shaping us to reflect His image.

Individually, all of us have areas of victory and areas that need improvement.

As 2 Corinthians 3:18 reminds us, “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

Say:
Let’s pause and take a moment to reflect on our lives—our thoughts, actions, relationships, and spiritual habits—and identify areas where God might be calling us to grow. This isn’t about guilt or comparison. It’s about inviting the Holy Spirit to guide us in becoming more like Christ.”Say:
“If you like, find an area in the room to be somewhat alone. It could be a corner, or you could move one seat down from your neighbor.”

Facilitation Note:
Ask the women to grab their journals.

Facilitator Prayer

Pray something like: Heavenly Father, during this Bible study, we have examined scriptures that clearly admonish us to be of virtuous and noble character.

We recognize there are areas in our lives – some we may not be aware of that grieve the Holy Spirit and do not glorify you.

This is not acceptable to us as your daughters.  We want to live lives that please you and bring glory to your name.  Lord, as we pause, please do your work in our hearts.

We ask the Holy Spirit to reveal areas where our character is weak or ungodly. We recognize that we all have areas in our lives that do not please You.

Please forgive us. As we pause now, we honor you, praise you, and love you. Do your work in our hearts.

In Jesus name, Amen

Facilitator Encouragement

Tell the women to be patient with this process.

It may seem “weird” or awkward.

It may bring tears, and that is okay.”

Note:
Prepare to do the activity with the women.

Say: “Grab your journal and pray your own silent prayer and allow the Holy Spirit to show you Practices, habits, and activities compromising your spiritual growth.

Areas in your life you need to change. Write them in your journal.

Ask the Holy Spirit to work in you and with you.

Please Note:
Play slow or quiet worship music.

You may also choose to have a silent room at this point. Be patient with this process.

The goal is spiritual transformation, not a time clock.

Facilitator Commentary Say:

“How often in our lives do we have time to just stop the world the way we did?”

The goal of this Bible study is not to rush through, accumulate knowledge, and rush away.  We want the Lord to use it to change us.  Who feels like the initial steps of change happened tonight?

Raise your hand or nod your head.”

Facilitation Note:
This is a highly personal time.

Invite Final Thoughts If you feel led, ask:

“Does anyone want to share their thoughts about this time?”  “Does anyone want to share something the Lord shared with them?  It’s 100% okay if you do not.”

Facilitation Note:  If women feel led to share. Allow them to share and allow them to support one another.
Closing and Review

Say:

“We are coming to the end of this Bible Study Session.”

“Thank you for your honesty, your open hearts, and your participation.”

Tonight, we discussed:

“Being virtuous is part of our Christian Walk.”

“We discussed what it means to be virtuous.” “We are not of the world, even though we are in it

”We have to watch for the little things that can affect our ability to shine bright as God’s daughters.  God bless you, and let’s close in prayer.  [Pray]

Scriptures:

1 Corinthians 1:10

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

Matthew 5:15-16
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 20:26-28

Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served.

My conclusion on my women’s bible study online free
