Here are some great thoughts
and Bible verses about hard times.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything
by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known to God. Phil 4:6
Stress is birthed when we don’t trust God fully with what we pray for, hope for or ask Him for.
I remember hearing a preacher say “If you’re going to pray, then don’t worry. If you’re going to worry, then don’t pray”. I agree.
Sometimes, sadly we don’t even pray. We just assume the role of “handler” and go through each day bearing life’s burdens- managing life’s demands as part of our ever growing “to do” list.
Problem with that is we could “crash and burn”. The truth is hard times are coming, here or on their way.
You simply must be able to turn to God for strength during those times. His Word is how He can communicate His comfort to you.
You also need scriptures that help. This is also a good time to say, not only will He provide strength and comfort, but He will work everything out according to His will.
He cares and He wants to help you. Why? Because He loves you.
We all know we deserve nothing from God. He owes us nothing, yet gives us all things.
The best part is He allows us to tell Him how we would prefer things to work out. Oh boy!
Some Christians just got angry. Look, I’m so tired of the weak theology (rooted in carnal insecurity) that leads us to believe we can’t make our request known to God. Some Christians really feel they must take life as it comes. To some degree, we do. But, prayer does so much. I’m not sure why they don’t utilize prayer as a way to move heaven.
His will is always going to be done anyway because He’s sovereign. I don’t think every prayer requires “if it’s your will” just go ahead and ask, seek, and knock. That’s what you do instead of worrying and stressing in hard times. Come boldly because of Jesus!
God knows your heart and He also wants you happy when it is for your good. Ask Him for what you want. Then, trust that if it is what you need, you’ll get it.
Jesus is your passkey to unlocking the kingdom and obtaining direct access to God, the Father.
Surely, if He created the universe, the stars and mankind from a dirt pile….SURELY He can take care of what burdens and worries you, right?
Now that you know that worry is the parent of stress. Do something about it. Namely, STOP STRESSING and trust God fully in your hard times- after you ask Him for what you will.
