Christian woman, may I ask—how is your vision? How are you seeing things in your life right now? I often—and I mean VERY OFTEN—have to ask myself this very question. Do you remember my previous post on this topic? Once again, I’m reminding myself and you to keep your eyes fixed on the Lord! Repeat after me: “My eyes are fixed on Jesus.”
It can be difficult to keep our gaze fixed on Jesus when life gets crazy. But let’s be real—it’s easy to focus on what’s going wrong, and what’s going wrong in our lives can seem overwhelming.
If you’re anything like me, sometimes you feel like taking a 24-hour nap (at least 6 days a week) during the rough seasons. You know, checking out of the world until the madness ends and returning when everything is perfect—as if that’s ever going to happen, right?
But let me remind you of something, Christian woman: Regardless of how you (and I) feel, God is at work in our lives.
Your present trial is working an “eternal weight of glory” in us. It’s a process we must go through. You’re not going through this pain in vain. A glorious plan is at work. IT IS!!! IT REALLY IS!!!
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

The Temporary Nature of Our Struggles and the Eternal Power of God
Did you know that when you buy a car, the minute you drive it off the lot, it begins to depreciate? With every minute, second, and day you own it, it loses value. The same thing happens with our physical bodies. We can work hard to slow the process, but aging is inevitable. The body decays and eventually returns to dust.
But here’s the good news: our spirits are being renewed day by day.
In spite of the rotting of our outward flesh, our spirits are rejuvenated. We may feel life is beating us to the core, but it’s not the truth. The Spirit of the living God rejuvenates us while we endure and suffer. It gets fresher and newer as we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.
There is a catch, though. We have to do one thing.
The Power of Prayer and Fellowship
He recharges us by the regenerative power of prayer and fellowship with Him. Each time you shut out the noise of the world and spend time in quiet reflection with the Father, you’re filling your tank so you can be exhilarated and invigorated. You must make time for that.
During that quiet, peaceful time, He renews us with brand new grace, mercy, and love. He does it, and sometimes you have no idea that’s even happening. That’s why we must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.
It also helps to listen to sermons that encourage you. Great Christian music helps, too. You’re feeding your spirit, getting the strength to make it through this life. You’re keeping your eyes fixed on Jesus—He’s our lifeblood.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.

Why the Church Is Not Enough Without a Personal Relationship with Jesus
Being around other Christians is a blessing, but church alone is not enough for your spiritual growth. Church is important, yes, but you must spend time with the actual SOURCE of all things—Jesus—to stay strong.
Sometimes, people make the church itself an idol. It cannot be! You leave that building for days at a time. You need a relationship with Jesus that is daily, one that lives in your heart.
Don’t rely solely on Sundays and Wednesdays for spiritual sustenance. Your church is not equal to God, nor should it ever be!
Jesus, alone, is your Redeemer and Source of strength. Keep your faith and your eyes on Him.
As you stay “plugged” into your Source of renewal, you’ll find the troubles of this world grow smaller and shrink in contrast to the power of Jesus.
Fix Your Eyes on Jesus, Christian Woman
Whether your life is plagued with the pain of an unloving spouse, a friend’s betrayal, rebellious children, unsaved loved ones, financial problems, health struggles, grief, or whatever—it’s all temporary compared to the glory that’s coming.
Be steadfast and fix your eyes on Him. Lock your gaze on Him, and the invisible attributes of His Kingdom. The late Pastor Nate Holcomb says in a sermon, “Fix your eyes on Him and look away from everything else.” Don’t lose heart, Christian woman.
Look not on what is seen, but on what is unseen! Keep YOUR mind on Him and primarily on Him!
Hey, the enemy is counting on you to break down, give in, falter, and fail. But the devil is a liar, and God is true!
Keep looking in the right direction and HOLD ON!!! He hasn’t left you. You’re going to make it through this in Jesus’ name!
