How to Find Your Spirit Guide: It’s Jesus!

I want to talk about How to find your spirit guide. Today I was reading Psalm 103. In it, the first verse is sort of a familiar one for many of us. I’ve read it a thousand times! However, I have never read it the way the Holy Spirit revealed it to me this morning. You see, if you haven’t been reading my posts, I’ve been navigating a season of intense grief. I lost essentially my entire immediate family in a 13-month span, and it’s been rough. So, I’m leaning on Jesus Christ in a way I’ve never done before. He’s helping me so much, but sometimes, I get in a “funk.” I let the loss guide me, and this is not good. So, I must let the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ guide me. So, if you’re wondering how to find your Spirit guide, it is the Lord Jesus. He loves you and me so much, and He’s here for us – in our “up” times and in our deepest darkest ones too.

Back to the scripture. Here is Psalm 103:1:

“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.“

Again, I’ve read this one a million times.

But, today…which happens to be a big and happy day for my family – the one I created – it hit differently.

Weird when that happens, right?

Well, not really … my Spirit Guide is behind it.

Don’t let your spirit guide you, you guide your spirit!

See, when you grieve or hurt deeply, your emotions can usurp your sense of happiness, enveloping you in a cloud of sadness that can feel overwhelming, making it difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

This profound emotional pain often manifests in various ways, affecting not just your mood but also your perspective on life, relationships, and the future.

As the weight of your sorrow grows heavier, even the small joys that used to brighten your day may seem distant and unattainable, leaving you to navigate a world that feels uninviting and cold.

That’s what happens when you let your spirit guide you. In other words, it’s what happens when you go by how you feel and not by what you know.

What do we know?

As Christians, we know our faith serves as a guiding light in a world often filled with uncertainty and challenges.

Challenges like loss, divorce, pain, betrayal, sickness, and more.

Knowing that Jesus is with us and His sweet Holy Spirit will guide us is comforting beyond words.

It’s an everylasting peace knowing we never have to navigate this mess alone.

Read Isaiah 41:13 in the ESV translation;

“For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

How can you not feel peace knowing the God of the universe, not the universe, is with you? He created it, so why trust it?

When you trust God’s Word, your joy is full.

It never changes!

Your peace and joy in Christ are complete regardless of what has happened in your life, transcending the challenges and trials that may surround you.

Even in difficult times (and Lord knows I’m in one now), this unwavering trust provides a peace that surpasses human understanding.

It illuminates your path with hope and assurance.

As you lean on the promises found in Scripture, you discover strength and encouragement.

This helps you navigate through life’s storms with a resilient spirit.

Embracing this truth allows you to experience true fulfillment.

Your joy does not depend on external circumstances.

Instead, it is rooted in the steadfast love and faithfulness of God in your life. It is rooted in God being your guide.

Woman smiling on post about how to find your spirit guide?

Still wondering how to find your spirit guide?

I hope you see that the only spiritual guide you need is in Jesus.

Everything else is a cheap and dangerous fake.

There is an enemy of your soul who wants to lure you away from the truth I present.

He wants you to trust in a false truth that touts the power is in you. That’s a bunch of hooey.

There is no power in you.

If there were, you would never feel empty.

You would never feel lost. You would never wonder or Google “How to find your spirit guide.”

The power you crave is Jesus Christ.

He’s not an ethereal figure who hovers over judging you.

No, He loves you.

He wants you to be with Him. Why? Because He loves you.

The Best Spirit Guide Ever!

How the Holy Spirit works in the lives of Christians is a profound and transformative journey that encompasses various aspects of faith and daily living.

The Holy Spirit acts as a guiding force. Again, He’s your answer to the question “how to find your spirit guide.”

He providing comfort and wisdom to believers and followers of Jesus Christs.

He enables them to discern God’s will in their lives.

This divine presence empower us!

John 14:26 ESV

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

Romans 8:26 ESV

“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”

Holy Spirit’s spiritual gifts such as love, joy, and peace, which not only enhance our personal faith but keep us from feeling alone in this thing called life.

I can’t tell you how real He has been in my journey through loss.

Another benefit of the Holy Spirit is that He plays a crucial role in the process of our sanctification, helping us to lead a life that reflects Christ’s teachings and character.

How does it work?

Through prayer to Jesus, meditation on His scriptures, and Scripture reading, we experience a deeper connection with the Holy Spirit.

I promise you, this type of spritual guide leads to a renewed sense of purpose and mission in your life.

You will never wake again wondering “is there more to life than this?”

He works alone.

The Holy Spirit is the only Spirit of the living God.

He works completely alone. He needs help from no one.

Jesus is the only way to eternal salvation.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6

“And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.” –
1 John 5:20

“Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.” – 1 Corinthians 8:6

You cannot mix Christianity with any other religion. It doesn’t work.

Any God besides the Lord Jesus Christ is a god with a little “g” and limited power.

Besides, God there is no other.

Besides the Holy Spirit, there is no other guide that will lead you to salvation, peace and an eternity with Jesus.

“GodsyGirl, what if I don’t believe that stuff?”

It’s fine. It’s your choice.

You could also choose not to beleive in gravity.

It’s your choice.

However, I suggest you not jump from a tall building.

Truth is truth whether you choose not to beleive in it or not.

Read Joshua 24:15 in the King James Version:

“… choose you this day whom ye will serve;…”

2. After you confess Jesus, then you do what He says according to scripture.
