Jesus change me

Please Jesus change me

Today my loving, compassionate three-year-old son jammed my finger between two rapidly swinging doors at church. It reminded me of a prayer I’d prayed years ago: “Jesus change me.”

Remembering the pain of those doors on my fingers, I was like “hmmm.” Jesus did that thang!

All I can say is praise God for the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit! GIRL!!!!!

Years ago I would have said
“(*&^%?&!”

If that had happened about 20 years ago, I might have shouted out a few “choice” words that would have had me thrown out of the church…and off the block…and out of the denomination!

Again, I have to say it! Praise God for changing a raggedy life like mine and conforming it into His image!

When you pray
“Jesus change me”…be patient.

It didn’t happen overnight. Quite the contrary. It seems it took forever! But, I see His work in my and I see how different I am now from the weak, worn, sobbing girl that walked that long, church aisle 20-something years ago.

Little by little, I’m seeing His Word take shape in my life and I love it! Am I perfect? Of course not, Get outta here! But, I’m a work in beautiful progress!

You can be too. You need 3 things:

  1. The attitude and desire to change.
  2. Consistent time with God to be “under construction” in prayer and Bible reading.
  3. A good, strong, Bible-believing church to attend.

Scripture Shower!
(I’m so corny)

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Ephesians 4:24

and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. Colossians 3:12-14

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

One of my favorite songs:
“Change Me” by Tamela Mann

Jesus change me is a prayer and one He answers! Read how I almost cursed! #Christianwomen
