I pray that you and I embrace the unexpected, unforeseen and even unwanted blessings 2011 brings.
I pray we walk in total, committed and sincere obedience to God’s word. We will avoid excuses, laziness, and negative strength-suckers like doubt, fear, jealousy, gossip, back-biting and living in the past.
I pray we release the pains, wounds and betrayals of the past.
I also pray that while we are busy forgiving others, we remember to forgive ourselves for being…well, human. Forgive yourself for taking the wrong job, loving the wrong men, not operating in faith, making messes, making mistakes with our mouths, bodies, prayer time, free time and family time.
I pray we embrace those qualities that make us unique, whether it be our hair, bodies or personalities.
I pray we love the saints of God with pure, gentle, long-suffering grace and patience of the Holy Spirit.
I also pray we learn the discipline to take every thought captive unto the obedience of Jesus and throw down everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.
Walk in the fullness of Eph. 3:18-19, Girl. The best is yet to come!
